PROMOTIONAL EMAIL (QUALIFIED LEAD)

AWARD WINNING EMAIL COPY!

No matter how long your promotional email, it is important to remain focused on one BIG problem that will be solved by purchasing your product. In this case, streamlining a commercial kitchen’s workflow with a rolling cooler.

The “offer” is potentially huge savings for the customer in the form of a coupon. All they have to do is visit your booth at the trade show!

I was fortunate enough to earn top honor for this email copy in a talented field of professional copywriters through an AWAI contest.

PROMOTIONAL EMAIL (COLD OUTREACH)

This email is short and super focused. Your “expected result” is to get in, grab their attention, and get them to click through to sign up for more info or a free offer of some sort (white paper, webinar, etc.).

This style works great for reaching out to new prospects to generate qualified leads. These leads can be handed over to the sales team to do their magic, or open the door for a targeted marketing campaign.

The sample below is actually a B2C email. It beautifully demonstrates the power of brevity. This example uses an 8 word headline, followed by a 75 word message. A mere 83 words total to convince a prospect to click for “More Info.”

In this case, my client wants to supply the subject line, product image, and “More Info” button. I included a suggestion for a subject line of 45 characters (spaces included). This comfortably fits in the 60-character general rule I like for subject lines. You don’t want your message to get truncated in your prospect’s inbox.
